Baby Gifts

I have been meaning to post these for a while now.
They were so fun to make.
The cake is my own design, but the ice cream sundae, bassinet
and the baby swaddled were something that I found tutorials online for.
These were gifts for my younger sons teacher.
We threw her a mini baby shower from the class and parents on
the last day of school.
She loved everything and was so surprised!!!

I chose to do grey with aqua for the color scheme
because they did not know the sex of the baby.
Although the baby's room was going to have lambs.

Since we were doing ice cream sundaes on the last day of school
I thought it would be nice to give her a sundae for the baby
that was calorie free...

I knew that the color of the nursery was green so
the blanket that I wrapped around the diaper baby was
to go with the nursery.

Have a great day!

Custom Made Safari Baby Album

Wow it has been quite sometime since I have actually scrapbooked anything.
I was asked to make a Baby album in a safari theme that
was neutral, since they don't know the sex of the baby yet.

So here is what I came up with...

Loving the Burlap album...

I think the first page pretty much sums up that I think this whole paper line was so so sweet!!!

I love this little Giraffe with the bear holding onto him.

Hope you enjoyed!
Have a great night!

Meet Baby Cassie

I have a new baby for you to meet today
her name is "Cassie".

I have painted her and micro-rooted her tiny little eyelashes.
She has perfectly manicured little fingers and toes.
I decided not to give her hair.
I thought she looked to cute as a bald baby.

So I hope you enjoy viewing her photos.

She is wearing some of the new leggings I have been making.

She has a whole mini mouse ensemble.

She is ready for Halloween wearing her new little zebra costume.

I have fallen in love with this one so it will be hard for me to let her go.
And her little outfits are my absolute favorites so far.

Let me know what you think.
I would love to hear from you.

Have a great day!

A Gift For A New Baby

Here is a gift that I have just finished crocheting for
a friend who just had a new little baby boy.

I absolutely love these colors together.
The afghan is one that my Dad's Mother taught me
how to do when I was 10 years old.
I think back to then and wonder if she had the patience
of a saint to be able to sit and show me how
to do each stitch so perfectly.
I have her to thank for my love of crocheting.
I always use this pattern she gave me for
all of my friends when I am making a
special gift for them.

Have a great day!

Crocheted Goodies

I am back with more goodies to share today...
Hats, Leg Warmers, Diaper Covers & Booties, Oh my!
Sorry for a minute I thought I was on my way to Oz....

So I have a baby that I purchased from
Northern Lights Nursery by Amanda Millbury
shown below modeling all of my items that I have crocheted.

This whole outfit was made by me...
I embellished the onesie with a crocheted flower and
the edging of her sleeves.
I made her little tutu and crocheted her leg warmers and hat.

I am in love with all of these little leg warmers that I have been
making lately. Just so darn cute!

As always I would love to hear your comments...
Have a great day!

More New things....Baby Leggings

So I also have been working on baby leggings.
I am having so much fun making these and embellishing them.
I don't know why I didn't think of them when my daughter was an infant...?
She actually loves them and has requested them in her size
so I am going to have to try that for her.

So tell me what you think of them...

The embellishments have a snap sewn on them and the socks so that if
the leggings need to be washed you can take them off.

Hope you enjoyed my post today...be back soon.

Have a great day!

What I have been up to....

So how has everyone been?
I have not been doing a lot of paper crafting
I hate to say, but I have been working on
something new...

It's what they call a reborn baby doll.
I have hand painted her and given her
all of her newborn coloring.

Her original name was Tayla, but I have decided
that I am going to rename her Mia.
She is a preemie at just 16" long
and weighs in at just 2 lbs. and 12 oz.

I have not made a doll in a very long time.
I enjoyed it though and will have more to come.

I have posted a few of the pictures I took of her
so I can list her on Ebay.
You will have to let me know what you think.

Have a great day!
