Wine Bottle Tag

I meant to post this before and just realized that I had not
done it yet. My friend Leslie had me do a special order for her for
the wine she was giving out at Christmas to family and friends.
She wanted it to be something different and special...so this is what
I came up with for her...

I used Stampin' Up! cardstock, Close to My Heart - Art Philosophy cricut
cartridge to cut out the name tags and some tiny candy canes & holly that I
found at Michael's. The die is from Papertrey Ink for the wine tag itself.
I really enjoyed making them and thought they turned out pretty good
for never having made them before.

Bee back soon with more things to show you.

Moving Away Gifts

So my very close friend Gabriella is moving away next week.
I can't believe that it is already here, as she told me back in
the middle of October that they had sold their house and
would be moving after the first of the new year.
Time sure does fly!!!

So I wanted to make her some special going away gifts that she would enjoy.
I made her a fashionable backpack which is a Becky Roberts tutorial I bought
and enclosed a set of cards in it that matched it.

All supplies used were Stampin' Up! The paper is Spice Cake and
I think it is one of my favorite lines. I love the colors! The sentiment is from
Papertrey Ink and the ribbon is rayon seam binding.

Then I wanted to make her one more special gift that would last her the
whole year and remind her of me when she used it.
I made her a Gratitude Journal using the same Stampin' Up! paper.
I think it turned out pretty good. It is a work in progress and she
can add whatever she would like to it to make it her own.

So that was just a small sampling of some of my favorite things about the
journal. I put it in one of those small 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 binders from Staples.
I used lots of stamps, tags, graph paper, guest checks, envelopes,
punched shapes, ticket stubs, paint chips, washi tape and more....

So maybe this will inspire you to try this for the new year and
write something you are grateful for. It can be a day by day thing
or just a random throughout each month type of deal.

Wishing you and your loved ones a  very
Happy & Healthy New Year!!!

Holiday Gifts

So its been a while again since I have been able to post on here.
It seems life is way too busy!!!

So I thought I would try to get this one up today.
I have been busy getting Teacher's gift baskets ready and
wrapping gifts for the little ones.
I decided to try and dress up some of the gift cards that
were going to be handed out.

Here is what I came up with...
This one uses the font & center die from Papertrey Ink,
Paper is Stampin' Up!,Sentiment is PTI, twine, flowers, rhinestones
and a cute little sparkly jingle bell.

This one uses a glassine sleeve that I covered with Stampin' Up! paper,
some SU! ribbon and another cute little jingle bell.

This uses another glassine sleeve, Stampin Up! ribbon,
handmade candy canes from chenille stems & a glittered snowflake.

So I hope you have enjoyed seeing my little creations and I hope to be
back again real soon.

Happy Holidays

Thanksgiving Cards

So I thought I would share with you the Thanksgiving cards that I mailed out this year.
I have to say I am shocked at myself for doing this only because I don't normally send out these cards.
I talk about it every year and before I know it the holiday has snuck up on me.
So I commited this year and did it. I mailed out 20 cards!!!

Some of you received this one using a CTMH set that was new to me this year.

And some of you received this one using a new DeNami Designs pilgrim chickies stamp.

I was happy to hear from quite a few of you that you had received them
already and loved them.

Watch my blog over the next few days for peeks of what I will be selling
at the Victor Methodist Chuch Home Party Open House.
Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 9am to 3 pm.

Have a happy Gobble, Gobble day!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Back To School

Hard to believe that summer is over and it's time to head back to school.
With that being the case I was busy yesterday working on some gifts for the kids to
take to their Teachers for the First day of School...

I can't take credit for the idea as I saw it at the Stamp Convention a few weeks ago
at the DeNami Design Booth. They did theirs a bit differently than mine, but it turned out
pretty good considering that I was working with a not so great cell photo to look at
when I made it. After I did the large ones for the kids teachers I decided that I should make
mini ones for the kids and put them in their lunch boxes as a surprise. They loved them!!!

Hopefully now that the kids are back at school I will be able to keep up with my blog
again. We will see what happens...

Supplies:  cardstock - Stampin up!, Stamps - Papertrey Ink, Ribbon - Rayon Seam Binding, Tin Foil.
Ink - CTMH, Candy - Rolos and Kisses.

     See you soon,

Sorry It's Been So Long

So it's been quite a while since I last posted something on here.
I really am going to try to better while the kids are on summer break.

Here are photos of a card set that I made for one of my kids Teacher.
All of the patterned papers used are from Colorboks new line called Flea Market.
I love everything about this line, I reach for it a lot when I am paper crafting lately.
I also used the decorative punch from Stampin' Up!, the ovals the sentiments were
stamped on were cut on the Cricut and ribbon was mostly Stampin' Up! or Offray.

The inspiration for these cards came after a card swap with my friend, Kelly.
So thank you Kelly for such great inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back in the next couple of days with some more
goodies that I have been working on.

Hope you all spend some extra time with the special men in your life
tomorrow for Father's Day.

A Quickie Card

I was in JoAnn's the other day and noticed this new K & Co. line that they are carrying.
I really liked the colors of it and the nature feel of it. I picked up a package
of these clear acetate frames that were glittered and colored.
I immediately thought that they would be a perfect fit for the larger size
cards that I make. So here is what I came up with for a few of them.

Very simple but I thought they looked really nice.
I usually struggle to make sympathy cards because I never know what to do
for embellishing , but these were perfect and all I did was stamp
a sentiment under the transparency.

Hope to see you again tomorrow.
Have a wonderful day.

Thanks to you

So I love this color combination of Brown and Turquoise.
So I had to share this card with you.

This card uses a sketch from a Card a Day by Papercrafts.
I used CTMH patterned paper, the die cut, stamp with dots and sentiment are all
from Papertrey Ink. And the butterfly is from Jenni Bowlin Studios.
Ribbon was just miscellaneous that I had on hand, probably from Michael's.

I had to do a close up because that butterfly is just too beautiful.

Hope your having a fantastic Monday and I will see you tomorrow.

Get Well Wishes

So I have been working on get well cards lately because it seems
that I don't have a supply of them on hand.
And I really hate feeling pressured when I have to hurry to make one up.

So here is the first one that I made

It uses paper & die cuts from the new K & Co. line at Michael's called Sweet Nectar.
I used green seam binding and pearls for embellishing.
And the stamp is from a new set from Papertrey Ink.

Just a close up to show the embellishments.
And here is another one I made using the same items as above.

I used rhinestones on this instead of pearls.
I really like this paper line and have lots more to show you using this line,
but I will save that for another day.

Enjoy your weekend and I will be back Monday with more goodies to share.

Vintage Birdhouse

So can you believe that it is snowing again???
And we are suppose to get 3-6 inches in total. Did Mother Nature not get the memo
about us being sick of Winter and needing Spring to come soon!!!
We need SUN...SUN...SUN...

Well on that note I have something to cheer you up that
looks very bright and spring like. I made this card using some Digital images that
I bought off from Etsy.com.

This birdhouse image is available through Made By Janet on etsy.com
I really love her artwork and have loved what I have used so far.

Here you are able to see more of the detail, like all of the
rhinestones on the scalloped border.

And with this one you can see all the glitter I applied to give it that
sparkly touch of elegance. I used more of the seam binding ribbon which I
can't seem to get enough of...it's just very appealing with almost everything.
I didn't stamp a sentiment yet because I wasn't sure what I want to use it for yet,
but it's ready to go whenever I need it.

So I hope this card gives you a burst of spring and come back tomorrow for another
project I have been working on.

Supplies used are
Patterned Paper : K & Co. / Papertrey Ink
Rhinestones: Michael's
Seam Binding: Zipperstop

Another Easter Card

So here is one more Easter card that I made last night.
It is purples and aquas one of my new favorite color combinations.

This card uses the digital eggs I purchased from Made By Janet.
Some more of the digital background papers from Bearly Mine Designs.

I also used some flatback purple pearls, scrunched seam binding ribbon and
mulberry paper roses. The shapes that the eggs are on are by spellbinders.
The background stamp with words is by Glitz Designs and the Easter sentiment
 is by Stampin' Up!.

I'm not sure you can see all of the glittery details, but I see some of them.
The flowers on the egg, the dark purple trim around the border of the card
and of course the aqua flowers were all glittered using stickles.

A close up to show some of the details on the card.

Hope you have enjoyed your visit today and thanks for stopping by.
See you soon!!!

Upsy Daisy Card Set

So I was recently inspired to use the Upsy Daisy stamp set by Stampin' Up!
I had forgotten how much I really like this set.
I created a whole set of these cards to give as gifts.

Supplies used with these cards is Pretty In Pink Designer Patterned Paper,
Basic Grey cardstock and pink ribbon all by Stampin' Up!
I used Blush ink by Close to My Heart and Black Memento Ink to stamp
the daisies with. The sentiments were from various sets.

I love how simple these are and how quickly they came together. I will be doing alot
more of these in different color combinations and sentiments. I think this is
one of those sets that is so versatile it can be used for any occasion.

Hope you've enjoyed the cards today. See you soon!!!

Easter Delights

So I apologize that it has been so long since I posted a new project. I had all good
intentions of getting things on here, it just never happened.
So without further delay here is something new that I have been
working on...

A new Easter card for someone special. I used some new digital things that I had
purchased recently. The egg designs came in a group from an Etsy shop called
Made By Janet. She does some very beautiful things with digital artwork.
The background paper is from a company out of the UK called Bearly Mine Designs.

I hope you can see all of the tiny details. I used some real vintage lace,
roses and aqua rhinestones that I picked up at Michael's craft store.
Lots of stickles glitter on the egg and flowers for glam.

The die cut shape, Easter greeting and punch used on the greeting are all from Stampin' Up!
I think that covers all the supplies I used on my card. I hope you have enjoyed your
visit and will stop by again to see what I have been up to.

Thanks for stopping by today and visiting. I will be back tomorrow with another
goody or two to share with you all.
