Bliss

Today I dropped in to show you some things I made this morning using
a new Stampin' Up! set called Bliss. I think this is a new
favorite for me. I adore the feminine and sophisticated look of
the set. It was so fun to play with I think I might have to keep it out a bit
and see what else I come up with.

So first up is a 5 x 7 card using Stampin' Up! Baja Breeze and crumb Cake
for my color inspiration. I love these two colors together.

I used an Ivory crocheted ribbon to embellish it as well as
Stampin' Up! designer Patterned Paper in Baja Breeze. The stamping
was also done in Baja Breeze. Bliss was cut out using
the spellbinders nestabilities die - labels 4.

The card above was a scrap lift I saw of someone else's card that I really liked
they did theirs in Concord Grape though. I wish I could remember who's blog
I saw it on so I could give them proper credit, but I don't.

Next up is a card that I am going to enter in this weeks Wild Orchid Challenge.
The card sketch they used is by Bev Rochester. She is very inspiring and I love her work.
You can see the sketch and challenge by clicking on the link above.
And if you would like to check out some of Bev's work click on
her name and check out her blog.

This card came about after talking with a friend this morning and her asking for a
paper suggestion for a project that she is working on. I had almost forget about this
paper pad that I had purchased a few weeks ago at Hobby Lobby.
All patterned paper used is from GCD Studios - Paris Nights collection.
It is all black, cream and a slight hint of shimmer.
I had a lot of fun working with it and can't wait to see what else I
can create using it.

Again my colors used are Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake from Stampin' Up!
What can I say, I really like them together.
I used some black rhinestones and seam binding is the ribbon.
This is all scrunchy after wetting it with water and scrunching it
into a tight ball and letting it dry overnight. Once it's dry it hold all the
wrinkles and makes some beautiful bows with lots of texture.
It looks very shabby and nostalgic to me, I have been using it
a while now and really like it for a lot of projects.

Here is another close up of the card so that you can see that the
butterfly has been raised up. I really love the way this card turned out.

Thanks for the inspiration Jennifer...glad you asked about the project you
were starting...you inspired me to use some of it.

Thanks for coming by today...see you again soon!!!

Bliss & Doilies

Thought I would share another new set I recently purchased from CTMH with you.
This one is called Simple Memories. I love the doilies in it, as they seem to be
the latest rage in cardmaking and scrapbooking.

This card uses the new CTMH papers from "Bliss" - Level 2 paper pack.
I used a small 4" doily cut in half and seam binding ribbon that has been
scrunched and holds its wrinkly look afterwards. The cursive hand writing
sentiment is from Stampin' Up! another set that I really adore for its looks.

This next card uses one of the doily stamps in this stamp set. I love the intricate look of it
and cannot wait to try some more things with it. The card itself is quite
simple with one background paper and the image stamped in a
dark chocolate ink to stand out on the paper.

Well that's it for today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share.
Have a wonderful day!!!

Mother's Day Cards

So this past week I had some time to play with a new stamp set I had recently purchased
from Stampin' Up! I have to say I really adore this set, not only because it's great for
Mother's Day, but it can be used for birthday and just to let MOM know how very special
she is to you.

This is the first card that I made with it. Pretty, Pink and Simple!!!

This is the second card that I made with it.
Blue's & Brown's from some of the new CTMH papers just released.

Hope you've enjoyed my cards and I'll be back tomorrow with a new post for you.
Have a great day!!!

Taking the Plunge

So after thinking about it for a long time I have finally decided to start a blog. I hope that
I have things that will interest everyone and make it worth your while to visit here often.
I hope that I can keep up with the demands of this and it keeps me motivated to inspire
all of you. Since I am new to this I will be back a little later with some photos to share of
some things I have been working on. See you soon.
