A Gift for Mrs. Santoro

Today I thought i would share with you the gift that I made for my
daughter's first grade teacher Mrs. Santoro.
It was a big birthday for her and I had wanted to do something
special to celebrate the occasion. So I made her special card...

The card base is one of the new die cut cards made from kraft card stock.
The large flower stamp is also from Close To My Heart from an older set.
The cup to make it into a shaker card is from Stampin' Up!.
All of the patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye.

This was just a close up for some of the detail. I stickled the flower where
you see what is now an orange-red color...it was white under it, must be the ink ran,
but I liked the effect it gave the flower.

The inside sentiments and die cut shapes are all from Papertrey Ink.

This is the box that I decorated and made a matching set of notecards to go
with it looked like. The boxes are from Taaylored Expressions and are called
Perfect Package Card Boxes and come in a set of 2 for a great price.

All patterned paper is from Close To My Heart. The cardstock  and Daisy Stamps set
is from Stampin' Up!. The sentiment stamps are from Papertrey Inks Limited Edition set
from this past year and ribbon was from Michael's.

So I thought that it turned out pretty well. I might have to try these in some other
color schemes, they really are nice sets.

Thanks for coming by...hope you have enjoyed the post.
See you soon...Jennifer

A Special Gift

So I did this project for my Sister-In-Law for her sister Carol that
just passed away on the 23rd of this month.
She had read the horoscope and knew immediately that
she wanted to do something special with it. So she called
me and asked me if I could come up with something that
she would hand out to her sisters 3 closest friends.

Here is what I came up with...

The card measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". I used Close To My Heart paper line Sonoma,
I used the matching card stock in the kit and added my own ribbon & pearls to it.
I used the spellbinders die cuts to cut out the top note that the horoscope is
mounted on and another ornate die for the name. I really didn't have anything
in mind when I started working it all just came together...thankfully.

Then I realized that I didn't have envelopes to fit this size so I went with a
brown paper bag and decorated it up so it matched the card. I really liked
the idea and thought it turned out pretty well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you have a great day!

Melted snowman

So this has nothing to do with paper crafting, but I had to share it
here because it turned out so stinking cute.
It's made out of chocolate and oh so yummy!!!
I saw the idea in the newspaper a few weeks ago and
figured I'd give it a try.

So this is the little melted snowmen all wrapped up and ready to
be gifted to a few friends. It uses white chocolate melting wafers,
a chocolate wafer, a rolo, candy corn and mini chocolate chips.
So that's it for today. Have a great day!

More Valentines

So this was the other card that I created for my swap that I
do with some friends once a month.
It turned out much cuter than I had thought it would.
Its not very often I go through all the trouble of creating a background
when there are so many papers out there that would work, but I wanted
to try something different.

The background paper was created using some small stamps that I had.
The little bone & pawprint are from DeNami Designs as well as the little
puppies stamped in the center. The tiny heart in the background is from
Avacado Arts. The fancy edge along the bottom of the card is
 a die from Papertrey Ink.

Have a wonderful day!

is pink so I had to do this card below just for her.

Paper: K and Company

A Valentine Share

So today I thought that I would share with you a Valentine card that
I created for a swap that I am in with some great friends.
We have already swapped so its safe for me to share what I made.

This uses the craft scalloped cards, cupid, ticket & cricut cartridge from CTMH,
I used PTI mat stack 2 for the accents above and below cupid as well as the shape
that cupid is stamped on which I think is mat stack 5,
seam binding ribbon, rhinestones flourishes from Michael's and patterned
paper from Stampin' Up!

The inside uses a die cut from PTI as well as the little flourishes above and below
Happy Valentine's Day. The greeting is from CTMH.

Here is the front of the envelope I thought I add a little
something to it to jazz it up a little.

Have a great day!

Tag Creations

I have some fun tags to share with you all today.
The first ones are for the Teachers...and I could add more to them
if I wanted to use them for Teacher Appreciation Week to attach
to their gifts.

I made 24 of these in all because I figured it couldn't hurt to have some
extras on hand. The supplies used were card stock by Neenah, Teacher's Apple
and Mat Stack 2 from PTI, scalloped and label punch from Stampin' Up! and some ribbon.

Then I was thinking about the bus drivers because I always do something for
them also and came up with these little cuties for the kids to give them attached
to a gift. I used some new tags that I had ordered last month from Express Tags,
the bus stamp is from CTMH, the stars & scalloped Circle are punched from
Stampin' Up! paper and punches and the "Thanks for all you do" sentiment is
from PTI Think Big Favorites. I like the way the came out and I am glad to be
able to personalize their gifts a bit to let them know how important they are
and how much we appreciate their services.

Have a good one!

More Teacher Cards

Here are some more teacher cards I made since I have been on a
roll with them...might as well do them while the juices are flowing!!!

These are some general school thank you cards that could be used for teachers as
well as some other important people at school.
This card uses a Becky Higgins Project Life journaling card that I printed
for the background and a new school set that I just got from CTMH.

For Teacher Appreciation Week I am all set too!
This card uses another Becky Higgins Journaling Card for the background,
A Papertrey Ink set called Teacher's Apple and some ribbon.

This is another card that again could be used for so many of the professionals at
school. I cased it from one of the pit crew at Avocado Arts. I loved it and couldn't
resist trying my hand at a few. All of the stamps used are from Avocado Arts
and the card stock is from Stampin' Up!

Here is the matching envelope for the card above. I have been decorating the
envelopes lately because it adds such a nice touch to them...

Hope you've enjoyed today's cards.

Missing You Cards

Thought I would share some new cards I made using
some of my new Avacado Arts stamp sets.
This was a scraplift as well as I added some of my own personal
touches to it.

I really like them and thought you would too!
The little stamped buttons are from Papertrey Ink and the graph paper
background is from Glitz Designs.

Have a great day!

Masculine Birthday Cards

Hi there! Back with some masculine birthday cards...this is one
catagory that I definitely have a hard time with...must because I can't
put all the flowers, bling and glitter on them!!!

THis first card I used up some leftover paper I had from CTMH.
The sentiment is a Papertrey Ink Set called Birthday Wishes.
The Pocket watch image is also a CTMH set for Father's Day.

The second one is again more leftover papers from CTMH as
well as the small compass stamp being from the Pair-a-Phrase set.
The Happy Birthday stamp is from Stampin' Up!
I like the way they came out they just seem a bit plain jane to me, but
what can you do? No rhinestones or glitter allowed for men.

Hope you've enjoyed todays share.

A Card with Burlap

I was making cards with some friends not too long ago and these are
one of the cards that I came up with using some old K & Co. paper I had
in my stash, Some vintage lace, burlap, seam binding ribbon, pearls & flowers.

I like the look of it although getting the burlap straight and the edges with
a frayed look was a little time consuming.

Have a good day!

Some Baby Cards

Today I wanted to share with you some really cute baby cards
that I made in December that I never got to post on here.
They are made using the baby line from Simple Stories by Memory Works.

I cut apart a few paper doilies and pleated them to get the lace look
along the legs and for the collar. Added a cute little pearl bow by Darice.

The sentiments are from Close to My Heart and the banners they are on
are from Papertrey Ink. I can't wait to make some more of these I loved
how they turned out.

Have a great day!

Valentine Bookmarks

So today I have to show you the sweet valentine bookmarks I made
yesterday for Jake to take to school for his class.
I thought they are at least practical and the kids always are
in need of a bookmark.
So I made 30 of them so there will be a few extras.

The valentine paper is from K & Co. from last year. The valentine sentiment is
from Papertrey Ink, the shape punched for the sentiment id from Stampin' Up!,
The postage shape that the little puppy is mounted on is form the Cricut cartridge
by Close To My Heart - Art Philosophy.

I tried a new technique that was over on Papertrey Ink's blog this past week.
Where you stamp or in my case print the image on colored cardstock and
then you color it in with copic markers using shades that will
compliment the cardstock. I thought these turned out pretty well and
after coloring in 30 of them I had a great time with this technique.

And the oh so cute puppy who's name is "Silver" is from a new
company that I stumbled upon yesterday called http://www.tiddlyinks.com/
and they have a great selection of all sorts of digital stamps.
Which I love digital stamps because you can do so much with them
and it usually is a small investment. Like this little guy was $3.00,
but I feel like I already got my moneys worth with him with
these valentines and I printed out some other ones to make my kids
Valentine cards with and colored him to look like our puppy Champ!
I'll be showing you those later this week.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my little share today and I will be
bask soon with more to share.

Happy New Year!!!

So I hope you are all off to a great start in the New Year!
I have decided to get a head start on Valentine's Day
projects since we never know what life has in store for us.

So I made up these Teacher Valentine's for the kids to
give to them.

These are the envelopes that I decorated to go with the cards.
I used Papertrey Inks - Heart Prints for the images & sentiment.

These are the cards. I used a new digital purchase from Jessica Sprague's website.
It is the Project Life Digital kit from Becky Higgins. I printed out the background
in a 3.5 x 5 size and then the journaling cards in wallet size.

The Heart punch is also from Papertrey Ink it coordinates with the Heart Prints
set from them. I also used the Teacher's Apple set for the Teacher sentiment.

Well I have some more Valentine projects coming this week so stay tuned for those.

Have a great day!
